YNG Community Transition

Update: 27 October 2025

From YPO Global Board of Directors Member, Sam Wang (YPO Taipei) and YNG Community Co-Chair, Guadalupe Madero (YNG Mexico City) —

We would like to affirm that YNG will continue to progress forward in the Community Pilot, maintaining the same sense of connection, purpose and shared growth that defines it. All existing governance structures will remain in place, ensuring continuity and stability as we move forward together.

Please note that 31 December is no longer the deadline, allowing additional time for thoughtful collaboration and planning. This decision was made by the YPO Global Board, with the understanding and alignment of the YNG Global Board, reflecting a unified commitment to supporting the long-term success and integrity of the YNG Community.

Update: 1 July 2025

Following thoughtful planning and collaboration with the YPO Global Board, we’re sharing an important, future-forward development regarding YNG.

Effective 1 July 2025: YNG Global will begin to transition from operating under the Family Council (YPO Inc.) to becoming a vibrant, self-governing YPO Community (operating as its own legal entity).

Why This Evolution Matters:

  • YNG has experienced tremendous momentum and expansion in recent years. To support its continued success and position it for long-term sustainability, YNG will transform into a self-governed and financially sustainable independent organization model.

  • This decision was approved by the YPO Global Board following in-depth analysis conducted by the YNG Evolution Task Force and subsequent board discussions.

Key Benefits of this Transition:
This new structure unlocks several benefits for YNG, including:

  • Greater autonomy and independence to chart its own path.

  • Expanded networking opportunities.

  • Enhanced engagement among the YNG community.

  • A stronger foundation for long-term growth and sustainability.

  • Closer alignment with the evolving needs and aspirations of YNG members.

What This Change Entails:

  • YNG will form and register as a separate nonprofit legal entity by 31 December 2025 and enter into a Community Commitment Agreement with YPO Inc. prior to that time.

  • To maintain appropriate independence from YPO, YNG will have its own management team committed to running its community (funded by the YNG Community), with minimal assistance from YPO.

  • YNG will continue to charge an enrollment fee and only be open to children between the ages of 18-30 (with a waiver available until age 32) of YPO members in good standing.
